About Implantable Collamer Lenses
The ICL procedure is an outpatient procedure taking only about 30 minutes to complete (about 15 minutes per eye). Here’s a brief overview of what you can expect:
- We will numb your eyes with drops
- We will make a small incision to insert the lens
- The ICL will unfold and we will place it in position
Most people see immediate results after placement, but vision will continue to improve in the days and weeks ahead.
Implantable Contact Lenses are a great solution for people with moderate to severe nearsightedness. Preferably, you’ve had no previous ophthalmic surgeries and your eyes are in good health.
ICLs are incredibly safe! More than 1 million people have had the procedure with great success in the past 20 years.
