Can I Fly in for LASIK or EVO ICL Surgery?
Yes. Dr. Bradley Barnett performs LASIK and EVO ICL patients who travel from outside the Sacramento area. Your visit is built around three key appointments: a consultation, your surgery day, and a post-op check before you head home.

A Sample 3-Day Visit
Surgery days are currently scheduled Wednesday through Friday. Here is what a typical three-day visit looks like.
Days 1 and 2: Consultation and Surgery
Your full pre-op exam and consultation with Dr. Barnett, and your procedure, take place during your first days in Sacramento. All pre-op testing happens in person, so it cannot be done remotely. Our team confirms your exact schedule when you book.
Day 3: Post-Op Check and Departure
You return for your one-day post-op check. Many patients are cleared to fly out the same afternoon or evening.
Preparing Before You Travel
A few things to plan for before you book your trip.
- Your pre-op exam happens in person on your consultation day. It cannot be completed remotely.
- You must be out of your contact lenses for 5 days before you travel in for your consultation. We cannot ask you to extend your trip if your eyes are not adequately settled.
After Your Surgery: Follow-Up Care
Your follow-up schedule after surgery includes three checkpoints.
- One day after surgery: in-person exam before you fly home
- One week after surgery: optional check-in, available by telehealth
- One month after surgery: in-person exam
All of your follow-up care stays with our team. We do not co-manage traveling or referred patients with an outside optometrist.
Telehealth Consultations
We offer telehealth consultations to both traveling and local patients. A $100 deposit reserves your consultation and applies toward the cost of your surgery. This is not a free consultation.
Paying for Your Procedure
LASIK and EVO ICL are cash payments. We offer financing through Alphaeon Credit. Visit our Insurance & Financing page to see current plans and apply.
